This is a successor product to Squaddy. A simple, powerful workout tracker built using SwiftUI. Free for all users and what I use to track all my workouts.
RationBuddy is a mobile app that helps farmers calculate their rations for cattle. I launched this in Jan 2025.
This was my first product and I started work on it during lockdown 2020. The premise was simple: build a platform that let athletes/coaches/influencers sell workout programs to their followers.
I'll write several posts about the journey over the coming weeks but the TLDR is that I learn huge amounts but made lots of blunders. We released a V1, signed up a bunch of coaches and made sales but I decided to pivot for a few reasons, the main one being app store fee split complications.
This was our pivot from Projektt. Squaddy V1 was a mobile app that allowed you to create 'squads' that you invited people to and posted workouts in. I figured that it would grow organically from people creating squads and inviting their friends. This happened and we grew to 10k users in about 6 months. We did a major V2 rebuild to allow people to record and share their own diaries ~ a la Strava.
This was the most successful final iteration. We grew it to about 50k users but couldn't find a business model/feature set that would take it to proper scale. Shuttered in Jun 2025 to focus on higher growth projects.
Building websites mixes the technical and creative in a way I find relaxing. Most of these are built with Astro, Tailwind and Alpine but there are some Next.js ones in the mix too. I host them all on Vercel or Netlify and do my design in Figma.
